Founded in 2024, Redline Records produces premium maintenance and history books for JDM performance cars. Model-specific editions are tailored to a single chassis, with factory specifications, service intervals, technical information, production history, VIN and engine details, modification records, maintenance logs and ownership history. The Universal edition covers any JDM performance car without its own dedicated book yet, going deep into JDM history, chassis code reference, importing and servicing guidance at a broader level, alongside the same full set of logs. Either way, its designed to become part of the cars history, not just another notebook.

A generic logbook is blank ruled pages with no context for your car at all: no chassis reference, no JDM history, no dedicated sections for mods, ECU tunes, dyno runs or track days. Every Redline Records book, model-specific or Universal, has all of that built in from the start. A model-specific edition goes further, pre-filled with your exact cars factory specs and part numbers. The Universal edition takes a broader approach instead, covering JDM history, chassis codes across the JDM landscape, importing and servicing guidance, with blank fields for you to record your own verified figures. Either way, its built for how JDM cars are actually owned and modified, not a notebook that could be for anything.

We are gradually expanding the range across iconic Japanese performance cars. Evolution VII, Evolution VII GT-A, Evolution VIII, Evolution IX, Evolution IX Wagon, and Airtrek Turbo-R are in stock now. Toyota 86 GT/GTS and Subaru BRZ are open for preorder. Evolution VI, Evolution 6.5 TME and Subaru WRX GC8 are currently in development. If your exact model does not have a dedicated edition yet, the Universal JDM Logbook covers any JDM performance car in the meantime, with the same premium build and reference pages that work for any model. New models are continually being researched, and it typically takes 3 to 6 months for a new dedicated edition to be written, reviewed and published. If you would like to request one, head over to the Contact page.

A model-specific book is built entirely around one chassis: the exact factory specifications, torque figures, OEM part numbers and known weak points for that car, researched and verified model by model. The Universal JDM Logbook takes a broader view instead, covering the history of JDM performance cars, chassis code reference across manufacturers, importing guidance and general servicing know-how, alongside the same full set of logs (service, mods, ECU tunes, dyno runs, track days). Its for any JDM performance car that does not have its own dedicated edition yet, with blank reference fields so you record your own verified figures as you go. In short: model-specific where it exists, universal until it does.

This means the book has been written, reviewed and ready for printing. As there are several books, we initally can only sustain printing of the books in small batches. We try to purchase at minimum 15 books per order. Our printer takes approx 1-2 weeks to print and deliver once an order is placed, after which we check the quality and post the book out directly to you from Redline Records HQ.

Absolutely. We're always looking at which vehicles the community wants most. If there's a particular JDM vehicle you'd like to see covered, send us an email at dylan@redlinerecords.com.au and we'll add it to the development list.

Every logbook is produced in a compact A5 landscape format (210mm x 148mm), designed to fit comfortably in your glovebox while still providing plenty of room for service history, maintenance records and notes. Model-specific editions run between 110 and 112 pages depending on the model. The Universal edition is 78 pages. As it is a wire-bound book, you can fit folded receipts in the back.

Oh Yes. It is the perfect companion for both modified and unmodified cars. Whether your vehicle is completely factory original or heavily modified, the logbook includes dedicated sections to record modifications, upgrades, tuning information and maintenance history. The build register, parts register, ECU tune log, dyno log, and track log are all designed with modified builds in mind.

Each Redline Records Logbook is professionally printed in Austarlia using premium materials and high-quality colour printing in small batches (~15 per order). Every book is individually quality checked, packaged and personally shipped by Redline Records. While it would be significantly cheaper to print these books in China, we would not only sacrifice print quality or our desire to keep everything 100% in Australia.

If a particular model is in stock, it will usually ship within 3 business days. Because every book is printed in small batches, out of stock orders can take several weeks to process. It takes about 1-2 weeks for the prints to arrive to Redline Records HQ, then they will then be individually quality-checked and posted directly to your house.

Yes. International post is now available EVERYWHERE, with shipping rates displayed at checkout. It's pretty much an extra $19.95 for everywhere outside of the AU except New Zealand, which is $15.00.

Let Dylan know! This is a one-man operation, and with this much technical detail, the occasional mistake is bound to slip through. Every figure is cross-checked against at least two sources: factory manuals, service manuals, or Amayama - but we're not perfect. If you spot an error, your input helps make this the most accurate logbook out there, and it's genuinely appreciated. If a significant or critical error is found, correction stickers will be sent to everyone who has purchased the book, because it's the right thing to do.

No. Redline Records is an independent Australian business created by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts. Vehicle manufacturers, logos and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. The logbooks are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any vehicle manufacturer or parts supplier.

Of course, these make great gifts for your fellow enthusiasts. If you are wanting to buy in bulk or become a reseller, please contact Dylan directly. Shipping is calculated per book.

A well-documented vehicle history helps preserve the story of your car. It can make servicing easier, help future owners understand the vehicle's background, and in many cases increase buyer confidence when it's time to sell. For JDM cars that are now 20-30 years old, a documented history is increasingly rare and genuinely valuable.

Unfortunately these books are focused primarily on the JDM versions of the vehicle (and in some rare instances it will include AUDM information). USDM is currently not on our radar.

Every model-specific book is researched from factory documentation, enthusiast knowledge and technical references specific to that chassis, built from scratch, not a generic template with the cover swapped. The Universal edition takes a different, deliberate approach: rather than being tied to one car, it goes deep on JDM history, chassis codes, importing and servicing guidance so its genuinely useful for any JDM performance car in the meantime. Either way, the goal is not simply to record servicing. It is to celebrate the vehicle itself: a maintenance record, technical reference and keepsake all in one.

We work by the Metric system for fluid and length measurements, PS/KW for power and Nm/kgm for torque.

I'd love to have the books translated to Japanese, but unfortunately it's out of my skillset. It would be incredible to go full circle and provide these books to the enthusiasts in Japan! Not saying never, just not at the moment..
